3 Stars And A Wish: It’s A New Year And Time For A Fresh Start

All Freebies

It’s a new year and time for a fresh start. Goal-setting is often a part of this time of the year. Many teachers include goal setting into the first week back after the Christmas break. 3 stars and a wish is another way to look at things.

Focus On What Is Working: 3 Stars And A Wish

When thinking about goals, it is important to make sure that kids also think about their successes. I created this template with a winter theme so that they could share 3 stars.  These are things that they are good at. It also includes a wish, something they would like to improve or shoot for as a goal.

These stars and wishes could be personal, academic, or general. It is up to the kids to identify what their strengths are, but they may need some guidance at the beginning. Perhaps they could ask others what they think. We can be our worst critics and we may not see what others see, so having others share what they notice could be helpful and empowering.

3 stars and a wish winter themeEveryone deserves a fresh start once in a while. New Year’s is a time of resolutions and goal-setting for adults. It can also be time for a fresh start for kids.

This is your year. 3 Stars And a Wish

Once kids can recognize their strengths and areas that they want to work on, they can then work on setting goals.
