This is my first contribution to Classroom Freebies!!!!
In fact this is my first ever ‘screen shot’. I am one of those creative-types that is easily confounded by technology, and yet with the help of others: I persevere!!!!
I am a “music-lady” turned author/illustrator of picture books. For my first contribution here I’d like to share one of my YouTube videos for my ever popular teacher-favorite, the frequently requested: “Top to Bottom.”
This song was commissioned by Zaner-Bloser to be part of their curriculum for supporting fine motor development in young children. They were especially kind to license the songs for that project back to me and it is included in my newest recording. I get to share all twelve of these ZB songs at my professional development presentations around the country. The candid-camera nature of this video captures several teachers having a very good time as the song unfolds.
The sing-a-long has everyone up & marching….. getting lots of oxygen into those brains and bodies in the process. The tune is a simple, piggy-back favorite. It’s the easily recognized, “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” brought to life and laughter. Students LOVE the conclusion as it gets faster and then faster still.
Pop over to THIS POST to play this video….. while you’re there you’re welcome to visit my YouTube tab to hear lots of my other original recordings and start singing along. I look forward to your comments and getting better acquainted!!
Thanks to Classroom Freebies for the opportunity to introduce myself.
