The Day After Halloween Activity…

All Freebies

If your students are still hyped up from all that Halloween candy and just want to talk more about one of their favorite holidays, try this great creative writing prompt. It doesn’t necessarily have to be done the day after Halloween…any time will work.
You can use the writing prompt in conjunction with a literature or
history unit. They’ll have to tell about a character’s or historical
figure’s night out trick-or-treating. It’s fun and gets them writing.
(And it’s free!)

This is great for a bell-ringer, exit-slip, or journal-writing activity;
or have them write even more and tell an entire story. I included
several different printables. To save paper, you can project it and have
them use their own journals or notebooks.

Aligned with the Common Core Standards for writing (#10) at multiple grade levels.
