Keeping Track of Things Borrowed

All Freebies

Do you have a colleague or two who treat your classroom as if it were a public library?  I am sharer and I love to help colleagues but it got to the point where I would go to read a book to my class and I couldn’t because it was missing.  I would look everywhere only to find out later that a colleague had borrowed it without asking!  I soon learned that if I could not find something, she probably had it.  This was frustrating!  I spent my hard earned money on these books so that I could use them in my classroom when I wanted to use them.  I needed a way to deter the borrowing or at least keep track of where my items were.  Hence, the “Sign Out-Binder” was born!  Now, I have a record of where my items are and when they are returned.  It also forces the borrowers to see just how many times they are borrowing from me.  I still get to share, but not to the point where I am inconveniencing myself!
Click {here} to get the sheets to make your own sign-out binder today!

Happy Teaching!
