One thing I can’t teach without is a set of individual dry erase boards. If I had to choose between old-fashioned dry erase boards and a brand new Smartboard, I’d pick the individual boards without thinking twice! Why? Dry erase boards let you engage every single student all day long, and they don’t require any special planning or preparation. The kids just grab ’em and go!
I posted a question on Facebook last week asking teachers to share their favorite dry erase board tips, and over 100 people shared ideas! I compiled over 3 dozen of the best responses into a booklet called Terrific Dry Erase Board Tips.
Download this booklet from my Odds N Ends page where you’ll also find a note to send home to parents requesting students to bring in new markers when they run out. If you don’t have dry erase boards because you think you can’t afford them, be sure to read the tips in the booklet to find out how you can make your own. You’ll soon be as much of a fan of dry erase boards as me!
