Here’s a fun word game that can help students with their spelling skills. Students cut out the letters in the phrase “Trick or Treat” and attempt to find as many words as possible by rearranging the letters. I like to give students 10 minutes to work on the activity alone, and then allow them to pair up with a partner to share what they found and look for more words.
This simple activity works great to keep kids busy when you’re setting up a Halloween party, and it also works well in a literacy center.
You can download the game from my Seasonal page on Teaching Resources.
Happy Halloween!
