If you happen to be one of those teachers who dreads getting the “drip glue” (a.k.a. Elmer’s Glue) out for projects or even quick jobs, I have the answer for you (that really and truly works).  I introduced my Top Secret Gluing Techniques to my spirited (you get the point) group of 19 kinders.  I did it as a 2 part course and let them know that they would get a license upon completion if they could prove to me they were an expert drip gluer.
Did it take time away from my academics?  You betcha!  BUT it bought me time in the future and save me tons of anxiety and frustration along the way.  Let me just tell you, we did a project yesterday that entailed gluing 8 feathers on a turkey as well as gluing 2 additional things on top of each feather (sound matching) and GUESS WHAT???  I didn’t have to even have to  wash the tables, scrape any glue or wipe dripping glue off any of the projects.  AND (let me remind you this is room FULL of kinders that I nurture by myself), I stacked the projects one on top of the other immediately upon completion without worrying about them sticking together.  The children are fully capable of using this glue the right way, but we need to take the time to teach them because they don’t come equipped with this knowledge!  So, click on the picture above to grab the license freebie or click below to go grab the “course”.
