I create a set of flashcards to help your students learn 6 times an even number: 6 X 2, 6 X 4, 6 X 6, and 6 X 8. There is a pattern.
The ten’s place digit in the product is 1/2 the even number, and the one’s place digit in the product is the even number you multiplied.
6 times 8 = 4 (one half of eight) and then repeat the number 8…or 48.
Here is the page of flashcards that will help your students practice this pattern so they can easily remember those facts.
