If you follow many blogs in the teaching world, you will probably without a doubt recognize the name The Vintage Teacher. Pam was an amazing educator filled with enthusiasm for teaching and blogging. She was always the first to post, the first to email me with excitement over a new collaboration, and the first to say thanks for working together. It is with sadness that I am passing on the following message from Pam’s family as it was just sent over to me this afternoon as Pam has passed away:
Pam was a dedicated teacher for years and education was always an important part of her life and the lives of those around her. Pam was a friend to many and helpful in providing insight and educational tidbits to others when they asked for help. Outside of education, Pam was involved with her church family and maintained relationships with family and friends over facebook.
Pam will be missed by many and will always be remembered for the impact she had on education and children. Thank you for following her blogs and being a part of her life. As her family and friends, we are sure that you had a positive impact on her each and every day. Thanks for honoring her in this way and helping us share her story with others.
The teacher blogging world is asking that if you knew Pam, read her blog, or appreciated her freebies, to please take a moment to leave a comment on her last blog post to show your respect. Thanks so much and Classroom Freebies will miss Pam dearly.

I am so sorry to hear this about Pam. I always enjoyed her blog and admired her for blogging at our more "mature" time in life. I am sure she was greatly loved by her students as she was by her blog followers. Rest in peace my friend. Deepest sympathy to her family at this time.
