I am so excited! I LOVE the Daily 5, and it works really well in my room, but it was taking me so long to get my kids to their stations. Come grab your {freebie} to help get yourself organized too!

Thank you! Not to sound like a total idiot but I keep seeing this "daily 5" thing on everyone's blogs and I don't know what it is. Is it separate from other center activities or is it part of that rotation? I have blocks/building, dramatic play, listening/exploring center, library center, art center and a couple others. Just trying to figure out if the daily 5 thing would work in my classroom! Thank you ahead of time!

I always used to do centers…I taught k, 1, 2, & 3 and tried to make it work…I was never really happy with it. Daily 5 is 5 different areas…Read to Self, Read to Someone, Word Work, Listen to Reading, and Writing. It takes awhile to train the kids, but once they are it is awesome! I teach 2nd grade and we spend the first 3 weeks just practicing how to run Daily 5. The best part about it is that the kids can't say "I'm Done!" If you are interested, you should really read the book!
