This is a story starter I use for Mother’s Day. If your students don’t have a mother, they can write it about their grandmother, aunt, or even family friend. Once students fill in each rectangle they then copy their story onto handwriting paper following the #s on the story starter for a perfectly ordered story. I always invited the moms, grandparents, etc. to a Mother’s Day tea in my classroom and let the students read their stories to the special women in their lives. It was always a big hit.
