Hang this sign over your table of school supplies and use this header to type your school supply checklist on.
To make things less of a hassel on the first day of school, I inform my parents via my “Welcome to school” packet, that I send to my students during summer, with an invitation to open house, that they can bring their school supplies in a large Ziplock Baggie, with their name on it, during our open house.
This gives me time to sort things and put them in community tubs before the first day of school.
This poster makes nice signage for the “drop off” table.

Thanks for sharing your great ideas! We don't send out a letter "ahead" of open house (I wish we would). Our students find out at open house who their teachers are. I love the idea about putting all their supplies in a large zip loc bag – I will be putting that in my back to school letter! Thanks again for sharing!
