Spark Learning With a .:*Firework*:. of a Lesson

.:* Happy Independence Day*:. to my U.S. friends! And to those of you around the world, I hope you are enjoying your day and keeping cool. 🙂

Today reminded me of a lesson I use for reviewing figurative language and poetic devices with my students. Music is an excellent way to motivate your students and Katy Perry’s song “Firework” is upbeat and loaded with poetic devices to review!

    My kids absolutely LOVED this activity!! It surprised them that we were using music to learn about figurative language. 🙂
