Hi, Teaching Friends!
It’s Linda Nelson from Primary Inspiration, joining in on the big celebration of 5 million views at Classroom Freebies! Congratulations and many thanks to you, Charity!
Is anybody else out there a grandma? When I retired in June of 2011 after teaching for 26 years (mostly first grade), one of the things that I missed the most was the fun of enjoying good books with the little ones. Guess what? My own three little sweeties are totally book lovers, and would probably be happy to snuggle up and listen to me read aloud for hours every day. That means I also get to keep hunting up new and wonderful books to enjoy together. Bliss!
The other thing that I found that I really missed when I retired was being part of the education community. This CF blog, my own blog, and the opportunity to create new resources for teachers and their students around the world – it’s a perfect fit for me!! Thank you all for the way you’ve helped make this a seamless and very happy transition for me!
Here’s a little goodie from the Classroom Freebies archives that I know you’ll enjoy! It’s a Roll and Graph data collection activity from Kelli at Castles and Crayons. The theme is smores (can’t go wrong with chocolate!), and as a bonus, it’s even Common Core-aligned! Thanks for sharing, Kelli!
I hope you’ll enjoy looking through all of the goodies in this CF celebration! Tell your friends, and be sure to stop back here for new and wonderful freebies every day!
