We use Fountas and Pinnell to assess our students’ reading levels four times per school year (September, December, March, and June). After reviewing the results, we change up our reading groups. As I say goodbye to readers who have “outgrown” my reading intervention group (yay!) and get ready to say hello to some new-to-me students, I like to throw a reading “party” and leave a thoughtful parting gift!
