Rip and tear activities are a super way to strengthen children’s finger
muscles, and increase their dexterity.
I give students red, yellow and green strips of construction paper to reinforce the 3 colors of apples. They tear their strips into small pieces that they glue to their apple template.
I put 2 apples on a page for easy printing, and to keep things small enough so that this activity is not overwhelming or too time-consuming for really little ones.
Completed projects make a lovely
bulletin board or hallway display. “Apple-icious Work!”
