Here’s a valentine heart that your students will get a kick out of making. Print the heart pattern off on a variety of colors of construction paper. I used scrapbook paper for my samples which really added pizzazz.
Students choose one and then trim it into the heart shape. They decide who they want to give this special valentine to and write a message inside. You can also give them a writing prompt, or use one of the poem suggestions in the packet. I’ve also included a heart pattern with a poem on it .
When they’ve completed their writing and signed their name, they fold the heart on the dashed lines and it turns into an envelope! Creasing it hard will keep it shut, but you can also have them add a sticker to close it.
