Informational Text for the Science Classroom

6-8· 9-12· All Freebies

In
April of 1953, James Watson and Francis Crick rocked the scientific world when
they published their one-page paper in Nature
magazine describing the structure of the DNA molecule.

If
you are implementing Common Core State Standards into your class, this is a
marvelous (and short!) piece of informational text to use with your
students.  I have used this informational
text and accompanying graphic organizer at various points in my curriculum,
always with great results.
