I’m celebrating Seuss and the joy of reading and writing with this Seuss-ical writing prompt craftivity.
Easy enough for PK kiddos, but also works nicely for older students too.
Simply run off the template.
Students write the things that they enjoyed doing the most during their day at school, writing something on each stripe of the cat’s hat.
They write their name in the oval on the bottom.
Add a school photo for that finishing touch.
I know a lot of teachers have a Dr. Seuss theme for their classrooms, so I’ve also included a template for that special first day of school as well.
There’s also a sweet Seuss quote poster.
Use it to introduce the above activity, or for a discussion at the end of the day, of what your students enjoyed the most, then put it in the center of your bulletin board display that features all of your kiddos’ hats.
