July 6th will mark the Muslim holiday of Eid al Fitr. This holiday concludes the month of Ramadan, which in itself is a very special month where Muslims fast during all the hours that the sun is up. Explaining these concepts to adults can be complicated, but explaining it to children can be even more challenging. However, the earlier we educate children about different cultures and their holidays, the more likely they are to feel compassion towards those of other cultures. This Muslim Holiday Vocabulary Packet will help you teach your children about the Muslim holidays of Ramadan, Eid al Fitr and Eid al Adha. The packet also incorporates reading and math standards for first and second grade. Downloade this packet from my Teachers Pay Teachers store for free.
