The Kissing Hand is the perfect story for back to school
The first days back to school can make some children anxious, with all the new changes. The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn is an adorable story to read to your new students that reassures them that they will be okay, and they are loved.
Little Chester, the raccoon, is worried abut going to school until his mother shows him a secret.
The secret was the Kissing Hand. A kiss in the middle of his palm helps him remember that “Mommy loves me.” When we read the story, and everyone gets a kissing hand- either a heart sticker, or stamp.
