Do you have students who struggle to compare and contrast two things? I have often had students who can tell me about each item individually, but are unable to complete the formulation of sentences like, “(x) is (attribute) but (y) is (different attribute).
They can’t construct sentences like “These are the same/different because….”
Sometimes it is the connector words in compound or complex sentences that has them stumped.
Other times, the descriptive concepts themselves are problematic.
No matter what you’re targeting, these cute Fall monsters cards will provide opportunities for language intervention. Compare them, contrast them, describe them, collect them in pairs or remember where they were hiding.
Have fun and…….. Keep on Talking.
