Math games are an excellent way to break up the monotony and to challenge your students, and Diffy is no exception!
Students of all grade levels can practice subtraction and logic — as well as pattern recognition — while they work through a Diffy game.
This free download includes a color version and black-and-white version, and you can play it with whole numbers, negative numbers, fractions, and money.

There are a few different ways you can play Diffy in your classroom.
- If you want to do it as a whole group, then you can display it on your document camera.
- Make it part of your math centers rotation by laminating the game sheets, having students write on them with dry-erase markers, and then wiping off the laminated sheets.
- Or, you can give them to students individually as worksheets.
The best part is that you have tons of possibilities for changing up the puzzle since you can use it with so many different types of numbers and math concepts!
