Independent Learning Lessons for Kindergarten

All Freebies· PK-2

Independent learning days are especially difficult for lower elementary teachers since their students are not independent online.

I compiled this pack of 5 ELA lessons for kindergarten.  This pack is NO PREP!

Each lesson is separated into it’s own PDF so you can send out one lesson, or all 5.  Each lesson is appropriate for 1-3 days of at-home learning so this 5 lesson resource could last for two weeks.  Oh, and by the way, this is a growing resource.  I’m already working on some additions to it, which you can redownload as soon as I get them up.

Each lesson is also easy on parents with step-by-step directions and pictures of examples.  The lessons can be completed with items they already have at home with no cost or bother involved for parents.  These are activities I used in my classroom and sent home for homework.  Students and parents enjoy them and they are valuable “real-life” learning opportunities.

This pack also includes an editable parent letter so you can let parents know which lessons to do on which days and how to show accountability for getting them done.

The files are ready to upload to your school website or email directly to parents.

Included in this zipped folder:

“All Lessons” pdf. contains all 5 lessons for you to look at or print.

“Lesson 1” pdf. contains just lesson one directions and materials for parents.

“Lesson 2” pdf. contains just lesson two directions and materials for parents.

“Lesson 3” pdf. contains just lesson three directions and materials for parents.

“Lesson 4” pdf. contains just lesson four directions and materials for parents.

“Lesson 5” pdf. contains just lesson five directions and materials for parents.

“READ ME FIRST teacher directions” – really, read this first.

EVERYTHING IS ABSOLUTELY READY TO USE.

Each lesson contains detailed directions and examples where needed. Most lessons could be assigned for multiple days. Activities do not require any special materials or knowledge; easy for parents to implement at home during Independent Learning Days.

I hope this will be a useful tool for kinder teachers during this stressful time.  I have been working on ILD packets for multiple grades because my school system has those days quarterly.  However, with recent events, I decided to get this one finished up and turn it into a FREEBIE.  My way of sending out some love to my fellow teachers.

When you click to download, you will be prompted to enter your email.  This is for ME only and I will not share it with anyone!  Just so I can let you know about future blog posts, freebies, and sales.

The free product will be delivered to the email you enter.
