This digital resource is a perfect geometry vocabulary review for your unit on polygons, angles, lines and 3-D shapes. Plus it’s ready to use immediately with your second, third, or fourth grade students.

Just download, project, and PLAY!

What grade level(s) is this geometry activity for?

This free geometry vocabulary game was created for a 2nd or 3rd grade class.

However, there are also fourth grade geometry vocabulary terms included, such as types of triangles. This resource meets the following common core standards: 2.G.A.1, 3.G.A.1, 4.G.A.1, 4.G.A.2, and 4.MD.C.5

What’s included in the geometry vocabulary game?

The free PowerPoint includes 153 slides formatted into a “Ready, Set, Show” game format.

Students read the question when they see the “Ready” slide, write down their answer when they see the “Set” slide, and show/say their answer when they see the “Show” slide.

Four editable slides are included with activity instructions so you can revise the activity expectations as needed.

This works well for distance learning, since students likely do not have white boards at home.

What materials do I need?

This free distance learning activity comes in a PowerPoint that contains a link to the Google Slides version.

You will need PowerPoint to open the show, and a way to project the slides for your students.

The activity was originally created for students to participate with white boards and Expo markers while projecting the show on your screen, but it works wonderfully for screen share mode in Zoom or Google Hangouts.

Instead of using whiteboards, simply have students unmute themselves and shout out answers. You can change the editable instructions slides in the PowerPoint to match your expectations.

What geometry vocabulary is covered?

This activity includes:

  • Quadrilaterals
  • Other Polygons: pentagon, hexagon, octagon
  • Lines, rays, points, line segments
  • Types of angles
  • Types of triangles
  • 3-D Shapes

Can this geometry review be used as a Google Classroom activity?

Absolutely!

When you open the PowerPoint, you will see a text box on the left-hand side of slide 1 with a link to a Google Slides version that’s ready to use with Google Classroom.

You can assign the show for independent student work, or use it as a whole class activity during a class Zoom call or Google Hangouts activity. Just display the show in presentation mode, and then share your screen.

Easy!
