Do your students love Magic Tree House books?
It is fantastic when kids fall in love with a novel series and can compare the books. Magic Tree House is the perfect series for students just starting out with chapter books.
The story plot is predictable and the adventures are exciting.
One way I inspire my students to stick with the series is to have them complete a book comparison chart as they are reading.
This lets them see Jack and Annie’s adventures at a glance and to be able to compare them.
What is on the book comparison chart?
The book comparison chart has 6 areas students focus on. They will answer questions to determine:
- Where the adventure was
- What Jack and Annie found
- Who helped them
- What challenges did they face (story problem)
- What was their favorite part
- They will rate the book, giving it 1-5 stars.
Also Included:
I have also included book lists for all 3 of Mary Pope Osborne’s Magic Tree House sets.
- The Tree House Series
- Merlin Missions Series
- Fact Tracker Series (Non-fiction)
As students read through the books they can check off which ones they have finished.
