These treat bag toppers are perfect last-minute, low-prep holiday gifts for your students! Add these toppers to a Ziplock bag filled with a few simple items you can find at the grocery store, and create a memorable gift that your class will love.
Gift-giving is my love language, so I have always enjoyed sending students off for Winter Break with a little treat…but the amount of time and money I had for said treats definitely varied over the years. Wouldn’t you know it – these treat bag toppers I whipped up in a few minutes, along with some mini-marshmallows, were one of my best-received gifts! I guess cringey jokes and sugar are a winning combination for 3-5th graders!
No matter which bag topper you choose, you only need a few extra materials and some Ziplock bags- all things you can grab on a quick trip to the grocery store! Here’s a closer look at what you’ll need for each bag.
Snowman Soup
To make these treat bags, all you need is:
- Hot chocolate packets
- Mini marshmallows
- M&M “buttons”
- Mini candy cane
The back of the topper shares just how one would make Snowman Soup…a tasty treat for a cold day!
Snowman in a Bag
During the holidays, there are no rules about playing with your food! Your students can assemble their snowman before eating…or just dive right in. To make these cute bags, you will need:
- Regular marshmallows
- Mini marshmallows
- Pretzel sticks
- M&Ms
Snowman Poop
Last but not least – my personal favorite, not to mention the easiest bag to make! To this day, I have students who find me and say, ” Do you remember when you gave us all snowman poop?” This treat bag is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser, and the best part is you only need a bag or two of mini marshmallows.
