Tie-dying t-shirts isn’t nearly as difficult or messy as you might think, and this project is great for creating class spirit. I especially loved having my students dye shirts before attending a field trip. If you choose a single class color for your project, you’ll always be able to spot them in a flash! Here’s a picture of a few girls in one of my former classes when we were at the zoo. The zoo is HUGE and I was so grateful for those purple shirts! Tie-dye shirts are also terrific for field days so you always know which kids are yours when they are running around having fun!
Even though the project is easy, there are some step-by-step directions you need to follow in order to be successful. I’ve written out all the directions in a handy little guide called Tie-Dye T-shirts Made Easy. You can learn more about this project and where to download the free directions from Corkboard Connections.
