Of all of the freebies I offer, this may be my most favorite!! This is the first assignment I give my students as I begin to teach my lessons on ecology and the environment. The activity requires that students do a little research and a lot of thinking about the ecology and the resources of their community. After completing the ecological survey activity, students will have a much improved idea about their local environment. Enjoy!
