Writing Paper for Your Spring Projects

All Freebies· PK-2

Spring is HERE! It’s time to get ready for Poetry Month, plus all things flowers and gardens and bunnies and outdoors! So, of course, you’ll need some special writing paper for all those spring projects that are popping up in your plans!

12 free templates for spring writing in the primary grades. illustrated with spring graphics.

This spring writing paper set has the added bonus of a box for an illustration on every page. Whether your students use the cute graphic on each of the twelve pages as part of their picture in the box or simply as a cute detail in the frame, taking a few moments to draw a simple picture and talk about it with a friend is often the little extra push that reluctant writers need to get started.

How can you use these in your classroom?

  • For an easy writing display, offer your students their choice of the writing papers. After taking them through the writing process, back the pages with a variety of pretty spring papers and there you go!
  • In your writing center, your students will be inspired to write by the cute illustrations!  For a different twist and the extra support that some of your students may need, create a word bank for your students by writing a few helpful words in the box before you copy the page.
  • Even a spelling test or a recording sheet for a center activity is extra fun when it’s done on these spring papers!
  • April is Poetry Month! Use the papers for a final copy of your students’ own poems. The paper is just the right size for a SPRING acrostic or a list poem!

Add some variety to a handwriting lesson with these papers. Practice writing words that start like daffodil or robin, or try having your students copy a short spring poem.

Variety is the spice of life! I hope these special template pages will save you time and make it easy to add variety to your spring writing lessons! Click here to get yours!

Happy Teaching!
