I don’t know about you, but I know a lot of teacher colleagues who love candy. And they deserve to get an award just for being amazing any day of the week. So I put together the two, to create some candy bar ideas that can serve double duty!
School awards are almost always a given for students at the end of the year. Teachers everywhere love to recognize students for all the learning they have done throughout the year an encourage each child to continue that trend going into the next school year.
So, much like the parent who becomes Santa each year, the parent rarely gets gifts from Santa too {I know, it’s the magic and all that jazz, but I think you get my point}. Teachers are doing to recognizing, without getting a big fanfare of recognition in return.
In honor of that thought process, I devised these fun employee appreciation teacher staff awards to brighten the day of staff members all over the school on a regular basis.
Even if the recipient doesn’t have a sweet tooth, it really is the thought that counts.
These candy bar awards are easy to put together and can be as extravagant or as low key as the staff/administration prefers. Just a little something to say thanks can really go a long way.

Cute School Staff Awards Party Ideas
How best to hand out your new candy awards to teachers and supporting staff members?
Nothing is sweeter than a candy bar staff meeting!
Imagine the staff reporting after school for a regular staff meeting, not knowing what is about to unfold.
The administrator leads the meeting off with a screening of the “best of” highlights from several staff members and then hands out full size candy bar “medals” for those specific individuals.
After that, a table near the front that has been covered up with a sheet is unveiled and it contains mason jars filled with bright colored bulk candy of all different sizes, shapes, and flavors.
This candy buffet table can match a specific color theme – or just be a little of everything out there. Don’t forget the cellophane bags so the staff members can line up and grab their favorites before returning to their seats and continuing the regular meeting programming.
Just this little extra touch (that most PTO/PTAs would pay for) would be something special that staff members would look forward to each meeting. Just seeing who is recognized on the big screen would be a fun icebreaker to begin any meeting.
Plus, the teachers have a snack for the meeting – and we all know how infinitely better staff meetings become when they involve food!

How fun are these? I know that springtime of year is especially tough on all staff at schools with students ready for break, students grumbly because they just returned from break, and all the test prep and testing that is sure to commence soon.
Staff morale really takes a beating this time of year, so I thought spreading a little cheer might be just the ticket to make it through a LONG stretch.
There are 10 different messages in total, but here are a couple just for fun:
How fun are these, right?
Staff Candy Bar Awards are super simple to use!
1. Print out the free download in color or grayscale, preferably on cardstock, but regular paper works fine too.
2. Cut in half.
3. Grab some matching full-size or snack-size candy bars. {You might even be able to unload some of that extra Easter candy out of your house!}
4. Tape or staple them to the slip.
5. Place them in a deserving member’s staff mailbox before or after school.
6. Feel great because you just put a smile in someone’s day (and yours too)!
If you are budget strapped (most teachers are), ask your school PTO/PTA to chip in.
I have never had a request like that denied. They are usually looking for fun ways to spend the money and supporting staff is always close to the top of their list!
Or even ask your local grocery store – it is a tax write-off for them and I am sure they would be thrilled to help out with such an easy donation request.
Hopefully these fun little awards will brighten your day – and those that you are truly grateful for at work.
Teachers need to support one another – even when it sometimes feels like no one else will. If I could send one of these to each and every one of you I would, but being that there are millions of teachers worldwide, I will have to trust you will be able to share the love in your school on my behalf. 🙂

Enjoy!
