Your students will have so much fun learning with this 2D Shape Bingo Activity! There’s just something about playing Bingo that almost every student enjoys. Use these 2D Shape Bingo Cards in whole group, in small groups, or even as a center! This is a great way for students to learn the names of different shapes.

There are 20 unique Bingo cards in this FREE activity. Each card has nine different shapes that your students need to know. I would suggest printing the cards out on card stock and laminating for durability. Here are some fun ways to use this free 2D Shape Bingo set:
Whole Group
The success of this activity whole group will depend on your class. If they are responsible enough to handle whole class games and able to understand the directions, you will have a great time! A note about gameplay: If you have more than 20 students, you will want to have some students double up. If you have less than 20 students, you may choose to have a few students who need a challenge to keep track of 2 cards!
You will want each student to have a set of Bingo “markers,” especially if you plan to reuse the cards. These could be small erasers, extra math manipulatives, or even small pieces of torn-up paper. You don’t need anything fancy to play!
Small Group
This would be my preferred way to use this 2D Shapes Bingo set. You will easily be able to catch and correct any misconceptions as your small group plays the game. Bingo can be differentiated to meet every group’s needs. While one group may need to look at the pictures to match the name and shape, another may be able to compare and contrast attributes while they are playing. This is a great way to provide the right level of instruction for each learner.
Centers
My students often begged me to add Bingo games to their center rotations. Depending on the makeup of your current class, this may be a great option for reinforcing the skill! Students can take turns being the caller, while the other students try to make a Bingo on their 2D Shape cards. For extra accountability, you can have students write down the shape names after someone calls Bingo.
