At this time of the school year – most teachers are either in the middle of standardized testing, or just completing standardized testing. You want to keep your students engaged and learning, but you and your students need something that is a little more laid back and enjoyable than all that test prep. This is the time of the year that I always move into full blow project mode. Projects give students curriculum, learning and thinking, while giving them a chance to move at their own pace and have a little control over their learning. Here is a Women Throughout History Project that does all of these things. It has a project matrix with 9 different projects students can choose from. Each project can be completed about any of the important historical women that the students can choose from.
