Some of the most challenging vocabulary for English Language Learners is related to countries of the world. Each language has different names for countries and for the people and things that come from that country. For example, kids from Germany say that they come from “Deutschland” and kids from Spain say that they come from “Espana”. Helping students learn the English names for various countries and how we describe things that come from them can help students to explain themselves clearly. It’s also a great way to simply work on the countries of the world and their flags. Grab this free, differentiated vocabulary packet on countries from my Teachers Pay Teachers store.
