When I first started teaching, my passion was for spelling. I know that seems unusual. But, being able to break words apart had always fascinated me. Teaching reading and science were also fun and enjoyable. But math? Well, that was a different story. I had no teaching strategies for math. I didn’t know how to differentiate. In fact, I wasn’t a good math teacher.
But something changed for me. I found my passion. I did a deep dive into the things I loved doing and I figured out why my passion was my passion. And then, I used it!!
