This lab is perfect for any science students in grades 6 and up.  Students will determine the mass and volume of different metals to determine the density.  From a table of densities, the student will then determine the identity of the unknown metal.

This download also includes a graphing reinforcement lesson, which can be used along with the lab, or as a stand alone lesson.

This lab has a simple materials list.  It is easy to set up and clean up.  Enjoy!
